Upon our arrival at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport, we just took some shots then went straight to Gran Prix Hotel (as discussed on an earlier blog) 'coz our service car is already waiting. But to add up on our adventure, we did not take a cab. We rode jeepneys all the way to the hotel. We both don't know how to get there so we just asked the people we see. People in Cebu are friendly so nothing to worry about. First, we rode a yellow mini-cab out of the airport to the hi-way. Then, from there, we rode a jeepney and said Mactan Market. It was kinda hard to communicate 'coz we cannot speak their dialect and not all of them, too, can understand Tagalog. I realized that we were getting farther 'coz we've been passing by resorts that i was able to search before this trip. So we asked again if that's the right jeepney to reach Cebu City. Then they laughed and told us we we're going the wrong way. Well, it was funny so we just smiled and laughed, too. They said we should ride the jeepney going the other way. So we went down and rode the jeepney from the other side of the road. It's noticeable that there are a lot of foreigners living there, which means Cebu is really a great place to live in. Then, we reached the town proper and transfered to another jeepney that will pass by our hotel.
Finally, after an hour and a half of being lost, we finally reached Gran Prix Hotel. Whew! Tiring but fun! So after checking-in, we went out and ate @ KFC just across the hotel. We also checked out Robinson's Place, just beside KFC. Then waited for our service. We rented a car from Daijobu Rent-a-Car. Our driver was Mr. Glenn Gomez. Our car is a White Toyota Altis with plate # GWZ531. You can contact them at 0917.623.2601; 0922.886.6334; (032) 340.8473; (032) 2615529. or you can send an e-mail to [email protected]. Highly recommendable. Mr. Glenn is very friendly and he can speak Tagalog really well. You can request him to drive you when you visit Cebu.
